Job Title: Bread Delivery Driver
Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Bread Delivery Driver. As a key member of our distribution network, you will be responsible for delivering fresh bread to various locations within our designated route. The successful candidate will be expected to work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with Wednesdays and Sundays as designated days off. The role requires early morning starts, with drivers expected to arrive at the warehouse promptly at 3 am.
Responsibilities:
Timely Deliveries: Ensure the punctual delivery of fresh bread to designated locations on the assigned route.
Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine vehicle checks and report any issues promptly. Maintain cleanliness and ensure the proper functioning of the delivery vehicle.
Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload bread products at the warehouse and delivery locations. Follow proper lifting and handling procedures.
Route Navigation: Familiarize yourself with the delivery route and plan the most efficient and effective course to meet delivery schedules.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by delivering products with a positive and professional attitude. Address customer inquiries and concerns courteously.
Documentation: Complete accurate and legible delivery logs, invoices, and other required documentation. Ensure all paperwork is properly filed and submitted.
Adherence to Regulations: Comply with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during the transportation of goods.
Additional Responsibilities:
Inventory Management: Utilize a scanner to print an inventory pick list upon arrival at the warehouse. Check and adjust for any discrepancies in the inventory.
Load Sheet Preparation: Generate load sheets based on store orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness before loading products onto the delivery vehicle.
Loading Process: Load orders onto the delivery truck, ensuring that products are securely arranged to prevent damage during transit.
Store Operations: Upon arriving at each store, pull stocks of bread from the inventory before restocking with new products. Maintain a well-organized and visually appealing display on the store shelves.
Stale Product Handling: Use the scanner to generate a stale ticket for any products being removed from the store due to expiration. Ensure proper documentation of stale items.
Sequential Store Visits: Follow a systematic approach when visiting multiple stores, repeating the restocking and stale ticket processes at each location.
End-of-Day Reporting: At the conclusion of the day, compile all stale tickets generated throughout the day and create a comprehensive warehouse stale ticket. Place this ticket in a designated area in the warehouse.
Communication: Report any issues, discrepancies, or challenges encountered during the delivery process to the warehouse supervisor or relevant personnel.
Compliance: Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to inventory management, product handling, and delivery processes.
Safety First: Prioritize safety at all times, both in the warehouse and during deliveries. Follow safety protocols and report any safety concerns promptly.
Qualifications (in addition to those listed above):
Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate inventory management and proper documentation of stale items.
Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using scanning devices and other technology tools for inventory tracking and order processing.
Organizational Skills: Efficiently manage time and prioritize tasks to meet delivery schedules and ensure the freshness of products.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with warehouse and store personnel to streamline operations and address any challenges encountered during the delivery process.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $160.00 - $200.00 per day
