The Internship Program
The Hearst Magazines Summer Internship Program is a paid, full time 11-week program for undergraduate rising Juniors & Seniors. From June 3 – August 16, 2024, our interns will gain an immersive, hands-on experience with one of the top publishers in the world.
In addition to working with their assigned team on important projects, interns will gain access to Hearst’s diverse professional network by participating in intimate learning sessions and join fun peer networking activities throughout the summer. Program participants will also leverage Hearst’s resources to work on and present a group project to senior leaders at the conclusion of the program.
Your Impact
Hearst Brand Licensing team brings Hearst brands to life in the form of products and services. We are a small but dynamic team and you will get to work on multiple Hearst brands and learn about many aspects of brand and endorsement licensing — from research, data collection, marketing and sales.
What You'll Do
- Review content to scan for accolade sales opportunities
- Assist in prepping for O-wards prospecting
- Assist in accolade sales renewals
- Help track past sales and compile reports
- Assist compiling marketing summary
- Gather print magazine issues monthly
- Gather marketing creatives
- Research retailers and industry news
- Organize sample closet and inventory
Who You Are
- You have strong research skills and are detail-oriented
- You are a rising undergraduate Junior or Senior majoring in Marketing, Business or a related field
- You are interested in the media industry and learning more about Brand Licensing
The estimated base salary for this role is $20/hour. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
This role requires the position to be located in New York, NY with an in-office presence of 3 days a week.
