ORS is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our team as a Part-Time Brand Ambassador (Fundraiser). In this role, you will play a crucial part in advancing our mission by utilizing your communication, sales, and marketing skills to cultivate relationships with businesses and potential supporters. The ideal candidate will be professional, organized, and possess a strong commitment to nonprofit fundraising.
Objectives of this Role:
- Promote awareness of ORS's mission and work
- Cultivate a network of dedicated businesses and supporters
- Identify and pursue new partnership opportunities
- Sell sponsorship packages to businesses and philanthropists
- Network with new and current stakeholders
- Increase brand awareness in ORS's target market
Responsibilities:
- Research individuals, corporations, and local businesses interested in gift-giving
- Effectively convey the organization’s mission, vision, and programs to potential supporters through phone calls, emails, and meetings
- Sell sponsorship packages and solicit donations
- Support online fundraising campaigns (e.g., NTXGD)
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs)
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Passion for nonprofit fundraising, sales, or networking
- Experience in sales, marketing, and networking
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-starter with exceptional customer service
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple partner relationships simultaneously
- Competence in learning and using digital systems (e.g., donor management)
- Ability to work well in a team
- Willingness to learn, grow, and experiment
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Successful and quantifiable fundraising, sales, and networking experiences
- Experience writing business emails and letters
- Experience using social media for promotions
Pay and Work Arrangements:
- Pay range: $16 - $20 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
- Expected weekly work hours: 15 – 20, with flexible timeframes
- In-person, Hybrid, and Remote options available, with some in-person work required for networking purposes
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs., stand and walk for long periods, endure strong heat and cold, climb stairs, and fly on an airplane
- Must be able to project voice and speak publicly
- Must be able to drive a vehicle, read road signs, judge distance, and spend extensive hours in front of a computer screen
- Must be able to listen carefully to others on the telephone
