Based in Austin, TX, our Brand Ambassador is responsible for finding and executing local event activations promoting the Honey Smoked Fish Co. family of products. You act as our “boots on the ground” – we’re counting on you to introduce consumers to HSF products, create excitement surrounding the brand, and encourage purchases at one of our retail locations.
As a Brand Ambassador, you are responsible for:
- Becoming a Honey Smoked Fish Co. product expert, educating consumers on product attributes, health benefits, and usage occasions.
- The logistics of each activation with the help of the Marketing department. Responsibilities include but are not limited to prepping supplies, setting up, and tearing down.
- Working with the VP of Marketing to find local events that align with the brand.
- Executing various activations, including in-store samplings, sporting events, festivals, and industry trade shows.
- Proper storage and handling of refrigerated products. Food Safety training and refrigerated resources will be provided.
- Creating a positive, consumer-friendly atmosphere at every activation.
- Submitting a post-event recap to the broader Marketing team.
- Transportation to and from event activations in a branded company van.
- High School education or equivalent. (Required)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Marketing, Sales, Event Planning, or Customer Service. (Required)
- Valid driver’s license (Required)
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Communication, or related field. (Bonus)
- Superb people and communication skills.
- Well-organized with a strong attention to detail.
- Positive, can-do attitude.
- Excellent on-the-fly problem solving skills to navigate unexpected bumps in the road.
- Creative, “think outside the box” mindset.
Pay and Hours:
$25-$30/hour depending on experience. Roughly 30 hours required per week depending on event schedule.
You will be required to work Saturday’s and/or Sunday’s depending on event schedule. Roughly 80% of your role will be weekend work. Accommodations can be made with advance notice.
This role is remote from our company headquarters in Denver, CO. 95% of your role will be based on-site at activations in the Austin market, and the remaining 5% of administrative reporting work can be done in a location of your choosing.
