The Branch Sales Manager has the primary responsibility to provide people leadership, implement sales strategies, territory management, claims productivity, claims conversion and pipeline management to deliver profitable financial results for their branch that meet or exceed annual branch budget. This includes Single Family (SFA) and Multi-Family (MFA), including effective utilization of flexible labor models such as SRT and PRT. In alignment with the strategic business plan, the Branch Sales Manager is expected to work closely with operations to ensure optimum homeowner and teammate experience by demonstrating Premier’s core values of: Persistence, Organization, Improvement, Accountability, Communication, and Happiness. The Branch Sales Manager needs to be a strong advocate and champion of people development and will collaborate with Human Resources to execute teammate development plans, high levels of teammate engagement, delivery of recruitment/retention goals. In collaboration with the Branch GM, the BSM will deliver branch KPI’s and create a challenging, rewarding, development focused, profitable, and fun environment for all branch teammates.


Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • TACTICAL SALES and TEAMMATE LEADERSHIP: 55% of position responsibility
    • Actively communicates focus areas of the goals (SMART) and weekly/monthly business plan to ensure Branch Sales team is in alignment with the strategy and tactics of the sales operation.
    • Suggests new technologies or processes to improve sales management (pipeline, claim conversion, claim productivity, territory management) and distributed sales team engagement.
    • Works with Regional Manager Sales and the BDR to position the Branch, its value proposition and the Premier brand in all communities served.
    • Works with Regional Manager and Controller to implement key metrics/goals that drive performance and execution.
    • Provides on-going market intel, territory research, and competitive analysis to support strategies and new opportunities. 
    • Provides regular and “real time” reporting to Regional Sales Manager/Human Resources on Branch and/or individual performance, success, or issues (red flags).
    • In collaboration with HR/ Sales Recruitment, and Regional Manager Sales, executes human capital forecasts required to achieve strategic business goals, talent management, and succession planning expectations.
    • Provides support for key leadership and direction to recognized company-wide change management/training and development initiatives.
    • Motivates and sustains a culture that rewards and cultivates an attitude of flexibility and new ideas.
    • Develops awareness of efficiency opportunities that result in lower costs and/or improved homeowner and HOA experience.
    • Collaborates with HR to ensure annual performance management and compensation review process is being executed and drives toward the overall objectives of the business.
  • TEAMMATE DEVELOPMENT AND ENGAGEMENT: 35% of position responsibility
    • Fulfills supervisory duties and responsibilities: 
      • a) writes and conducts bi-annual performance appraisals and goal setting in Bamboo and ensures regular feedback, coaching, and communication with sales division teammates and direct reports
      • b) ensures high level of performance standards and achievement to meet company needs and business goals/KPI’s 
      • c) provides development opportunities for teammates to broaden and enhance skills and abilities 
      • d) manages initial training of new teammates and ongoing training as required 
      • e) promotes an environment that fosters Premier’s values and commitment to satisfy homeowner requirements and happy teammates
    • Collaborates with HR and RSMs to create succession plan for key positions in the region.
    • Partners with HR to identify performance gaps and recommends training programs for professional development for sales teammates in the region.
    • Actively pursues educational seminars and certifications to ensure self-development.  
    • Leads and executes Premier culture activities and practices to establish positive teammate relationships and promote a high level of engagement. (High Five’s, TQM, Mentor Program, Premier University, Culture Surveys, etc.)
    • Addresses employee relations issues in a time-sensitive manner and ensures daily practices are aligned with the Teammate Handbook and values of the company.
    • In partnership BPOD, ensures playbooks and training guides are being followed and represent the current workflow expectations.
    • In collaboration with HR and Finance, communicates payout for bonus and sales commission plans for eligible participants. 
  • COMPLIANCE AND ADMINISTRATION: 10% of position responsibility
    • Ensures that the Company’s values, policies, and playbooks are consistently followed.
    • Ensures that the Company’s recruitment and hiring practices are being followed. 
    • Holds key team members accountable for employee turnover and costs of employment through high quality selection and proactive employment practices.
    • Partners with the Director of Safety to ensure that all safety program requirements are being met across the organization.
    • Maintains compliance with governmental rules, regulations and guidelines regarding employment law, health and safety, diversity, sales/permit requirements, etc.
    • Ensures weekly KPI reporting data is complete and available for VP Sales by agreed upon deadlines.


Qualifications:

  • EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:
    • Bachelor’s degree in business, or equivalent related experience.
    • Minimum of two year’s sales management experience.
    • Minimum of two year’s previous supervisory experience with focus on KPI’s and statistical management.
    • Knowledge of roofing industry practices 
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
    • Knowledge of execution of business strategic plans, annual goals, business practices, and product information.
    • Knowledge of human resource practices pertaining to employment, safety, and recruitment/engagement.
    • Excellent negotiation ability demonstrated strong business judgment, and effective decision-making ability.
    • Ability to operate tactically and day-to-day.
    • Ability to handle difficult and controversial issues.
    • Ability to implement company policies and programs.
    • Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team and work in a team environment.
    • Knowledge of B2B and B2C direct sales process.
    • Ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
