The Texas Branch Operations Director is a multi-faceted position primarily managing school/market operations. With a heavy emphasis on growth and improvement, this position is vital to the management team.

Growth & Brand Awareness

• Effectively market the Storage Squad product to schools and consumers.
• Assist in the development and implementation of direct sales campaigns.
• Facilitate a positive customer experience, create a safe and enjoyable work environment, and maximize company profitability.
• Handle customer inquiries via all communication channels.
• Work with crew and management team to ensure customer requests are satisfied.
• Create, update, and conduct pick-up and delivery schedules and routes.
• Manage Storage Squad activities located in 1-800-Pack-Rat facilities and other warehouses in Texas.
• Manage truck relationships, reservations, and fleet activities.
• Recruit qualified employees to hire, train, schedule, and supervise in all markets.
• Review and correct consumer invoices.
• Travel as required to conduct sales and campus visits, oversee market activities, meet with employees, and manage pick-ups and deliveries.
• Oversee and implement crew activities, including driving trucks, and picking up and delivering customers' items for storage.
• Provisioning and management of crew supplies in network markets.
• Launch and complete warehouse search where Pack Rat facilities are unavailable, including driving to and inspecting facilities.
• Identify opportunities for improving operational efficiencies across the business.
• Work with university contacts to ensure operational success on endorsed and unendorsed campuses.
• Interact with customers and provide solutions for customer satisfaction.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work on the personal computer and telephone 6-8 hours daily.
• Must be able to lift and carry items up to 100 pounds and drive 26-foot, 16-foot, 12 -foot, and smaller commercial and personal vehicles.
• Ability to use Storage Squad proprietary app on a smartphone.
• Must be able to supervise and perform the same duties of drivers and laborers, i.e., distribute boxes, tape, and other supplies, lift, and move (using dollies or by hand) multiple items for storage, including packages more than 60-70 pounds, refrigerators, televisions, furniture, mattresses, and other home goods found in college student dormitory rooms and off campus apartments.
• Requires using stairs and elevators in multi-level facilities.
• Perform warehouse duties required for prepping spaces for storage, unloading, storing, documenting warehouse location in app, staging and loading items into vehicles.
• Ability to stay on feet for more than 8 hours daily during peak periods.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changes in workload requirements, efficiently structure responsibilities and work independently.
• Critical thinking and decision-making skills to solve supply/demand problems.
• Proven ability to implement and adhere to a timeline and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional project/task management and prioritization skills.
• Positive, can-do attitude with an approachable demeanor.
