Aurora Central Catholic High School seeks a Varsity Boys Tennis Head Coach to join a growing Athletic department committed to seeing student-athletes succeed in all their endeavors. The successful candidate will bring a positive, professional, and collaborative mindset. They will also bring a strong work ethic and embrace the school's core values. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who seeks to make an impact in a fast paced, purposeful work environment and who understands the importance of contributing to the broader life of the school community.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Athletic Director, the Varsity Boys Tennis Head Coach will be responsible for the following:
• Supervises and operates all phases of a competitive boys' tennis program.
• Maintains and updates a sufficient inventory of equipment.
• Oversees the issuing and collecting of all equipment, uniforms, supplies, and materials.
• Plans, organizes, and administers all in-season practice sessions.
• Works in coordination with Fox Valley Park District to schedule court time for practice and matches
• Counsels' student-athletes and sets both short and long-range goals.
• Develops and carries out fundraising projects as approved.
• Maintains positive public relations with the community through an assortment of events including camps and clinics.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of ACC, CCL, and IHSA rules and regulations.
• Supports the mission, vision, and values of Aurora Central Catholic High School and the Rockford Archdiocese.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Experience, Skills & Knowledge
• Bachelor's degree
• Head coach experience, ideally in a high school, college, or university setting.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Team-oriented individual with the ability to take initiative.
• Ability to represent the school and program in a professional and enthusiastic manner to on and off campus constituencies.
• Knowledge of social media and methods of program promotion.
