POSITION SUMMARY

The Box Truck Driver is responsible for providing efficient and safe delivery of products. This position supports the day-to-day warehouse operation by operating Box Truck and forklift, filling orders, and performing general housekeeping.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

· Deliver products to their designated destination within a scheduled timeframe, while ensuring all paperwork is completed and submitted to the office.

· Document deliveries or log other shipment information.

· Ensure the truck is in good working condition by inspecting and monitoring its performance.

· Verify the truck’s water, engine oil, brake fluid, and fuel levels are at the appropriate levels.

· Utilize a forklift to load and unload vehicles.

· Receive the incoming shipments and validate items being received and shipped by matching the Bill of Lading (BOL) and Packing List.

· Pick and arrange the product orders.

· Follow the company safety policy and procedure. Notify the Assistant Warehouse Supervisor of any quality-related issues, product damages, or problems in the work area.

· Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

A. REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCES

· High school diploma or general education diploma (GED).

· 1-2 years of experience driving Class D Box Truck.

· Experience driving sit-down forklift/electrical power industrial truck.

· Must have a valid Class D driver’s license and excellent driving record to perform essential job functions.

· Must obtain and maintain a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate.

· Industry forklift certificate is required.

· Ability to apply common sense to understand and carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.

· Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

B. LANGUAGE SKILLS

· Written and verbal communication skills in English; Chinese is a plus.

· Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.

· Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

C. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

· The individual must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with ability to operate in units of US currency, and measure in units of volume, and distance.

Pay: $21.04 - $24.00 per hour
