Position Summary:
Come be a part of one of Dallas’ leading non-profit arts organizations! The Box Office Supervisor plays an integral role in the ticketing services department. They are the primary patron-facing supervisor for all ticketed events. Providing part-time ticketing staff scheduling, daily reconciliation/closeout, and other reporting, as well as the initial escalation point for ticketing-related customer service matters, this individual is tasked with execution of Broadway Dallas ticketing policies and procedures. A significant portion of this individual’s work will be in specialty order fulfilment: sales, concierge communication, in-house orders, and other order processing as assigned.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist the ticketing services manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations relating to all sales and support Box Office staff in any of their job functions, as needed.
- Organize/Manage daily and nightly Box Office operations.
- Schedule sufficient ticketing associate staffing for all Broadway Dallas events
- Ensure complete and satisfactory on-going staff training.
- Assist Manager on reconciliation and accounting of all ticket sales for each ticketed event and daily Box Office Sales.
- Oversee banks/drops and closeout reporting are completed and accurate.
- Analyzing volume of customer service requests/inquiries and schedule staff accordingly
- Participate in overall professional development and training opportunities offered by Broadway Dallas.
- Work with Front of House/ Guest Services on ADA tickets, relocation or troubleshooting needs as they arise.
- Minimum 2 years in the ticketing—preferably in the performing arts
- Demonstrated expertise in ticket selling, exchanging, and upgrading
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Teams, Excel, etc.
- Schedule flexibility to work nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- One year or more of cash handling experience
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to de-escalate conflicts
- Effective team-oriented work style and communication skills via audio (phone), video conference, text/teams, and in-person
- Demonstrated excellence in organizational skills, multitask abilities, and proficiency in time management
- Have access to a consistent method of transportation to/from the Music Hall at Fair Park and other venues/spaces around Dallas and surrounding counties
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Archtics with both events and season packages
- Familiarity transacting and reporting in Ticketmaster Host events and TM1
- Inventory management and/or dynamic pricing experience
- Experience in scheduling, training, and leading a team of five or more
- Experience in Cash Handling policies and procedures.
- Crowd control for major ticket presales and on sales
- Spanish or other language fluency
