The Box Office Cashier is responsible for providing outstanding customer service, generating sales and processing all transactions in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide courteous and efficient service to all guests.
- Maintain an awareness of all current & future events and pricing.
- Process Box Office sales, tickets and wristband distribution.
- Secure payment for all sales.
- Accurately update the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- One (1) year of guest service experience.
- Six months of high-volume cash handling experience.
- Ability to perform basic math.
- Communicate in a clear and concise manner.
- Able to remain calm during stressful situations/interactions.
- Able to resolve issues with good judgment.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS
- Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift; no sitting unless on break. Pushing, pulling, bending and stooping frequently.
- Bending, lifting, and carrying up to 25 pounds frequently and without assistance.
- Constant face-to-face interactions with customers, requiring speaking and a professional demeanor.
- Maintain a near, well-groomed appearance.
- Ability to multi-task and remain positive in busy working conditions.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Work schedule: Thursday-Saturday evenings and special event coverage as needed.
- Comply with the brand and hygiene policies.
Ahern Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel and event venue in Las Vegas, Nevada. Acquired in 2019, it is located near the Las Vegas Strip.
