SUMMARY
The Grand Sierra Resort and Casino is seeking a talented and qualified individual to serve as Bowling Supervisor. The applicant should have previous management experience preferably in an entertainment venue. Proven organizational skills, exceptional guest service and problem-solving skills. Oversee the overall day to day operations of the Bowling Center from the daily sales to scheduling staff for daytime and evening operations. The Bowling Manager will ensure a hospitable, smooth, and efficient operation. This role is highly visible and interacts with sponsors, vendors, clients, and GSR Management. Always leads by example and provides the highest level of guest service to all guests, vendors, and clients.
Salary-depending on experience(DOE)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Bowling Center.
• Interview, hire, coach, and counsel Bowling Center team members
• Review weekly/daily schedules for appropriate coverage pertaining to special events, holidays, or low business volume expectations.
• Continuously monitor and work at controlling labor and equipment cost.
• Review daily/weekly payroll and compare to forecast.
• Able to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Can work with interruptions and to perform multiple tasks while remailing collected in high pressure situations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILTIES
• Candidate must possess the ability to deal with guests and co-workers in a tactful and respectful manner.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to communicate with guests, team members, and supervisors.
• Previous Food and Beverage Experience is a plus.
• Possess excellent communication skills, both in written and oral form.
• Has the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, staff, and guests.
• Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Excellent time management, problem solving, and organizational skills are a must.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
