Job Description
We seek a licensed California attorney with 2-5 years of prior civil litigation experience. We are not interested in training someone with no prior experience in taking depositions or preparing a case for trial. It would be beneficial to have some exposure to use of the UTBMS service codes, as we handle a number of insurance defense cases. Applicants must have good oral and written communication skills. Applicants must also be skilled at legal research and have the ability to create and format correspondence and pleadings in Word. We rely on the Clio case management and billing system and familiarity with that system would be a plus.
Our transactional business involves advising clients in the purchase and sale of commercial and residential property. We help owners with appealing property taxes, negotiating and drafting leases, and the creation and/or litigation of easements, licenses and other use rights. We review and advise on insurance coverage and have been retained to draft, revise and litigate TIC, partnership and other co-ownership and CC& R agreements.
We provide basic estate planning services, thus familiarity with wills/trusts and power of attorneys would be beneficial.
