Bookseller/Cashier

Retail Sales Associate

Sales Associates are responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all customers in a friendly and helpful manner. They should be knowledgeable about books and other merchandise in the store, proactively seek to assist customers and provide an outstanding shopping experience.

Our ideal candidate has a great attitude, a strong work ethic, and excellent time management skills, along with the ability to :

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide customers with the highest level of customer service by greeting each customer, communicating and assisting customers with questions and orders, and efficient cashiering
• Recover the sales floor during each shift, including, but not limited to picking up items, shelving books and product, straightening bookshelves and tables, and other housekeeping tasks as needed
• Quickly and efficiently evaluate incoming trade-ins while demonstrating organizational and multitasking skills
• Monitor and maintain the retail area’s cleanliness, providing a clean workplace which includes dusting, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and assisting in the general maintenance of the building.

Requirements

• Must be available to work Thursday - Sunday each week, 10am-6:15pm, Wednesday 10 am-4 pm.
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift objects up to 40 lbs

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
