GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Bookkeeper / Personal Assistant is responsible for the Owners’ personal and business accounting functions as well as managing our personal affairs. We are looking for a self-motivated, organized, individual who desires to work from home with some flexibility. Your mission will be to make sure our finances are always in order, and to make our lives as easy and as organized as possible, while giving us the confidence that everything is accurately taken care of.

Accounting functions include: full-charge bookkeeping, budgeting, financial reporting, and cash management. In addition to the tactical duties, this person is also responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships and effective communications on behalf of Owners with bankers, CPA, investment advisors, vendors, and others. The scope of work includes Owners’ personal finances, investments (including a small Commercial Real Estate presence), and hobbies.

Personal Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Collect and process mail within a few days of delivery.
  • Oversee Florida house in our absence. Including regular inside and outside inspections
  • Manage Florida home maintenance and repairs in coordination with handyman and housecleaner to ensure the total care and upkeep of our homes.
  • Maintain Owners personal schedules, provide reminders, and take initiative to prepare and assist.
  • Prepare travel and meeting arrangements.
  • Maintain security and organization of physical and electronic information.
  • Special projects as assigned.

Objectives:

  • Ensure everything is done right and on time. Owners should have minimal daily involvement.
  • Provide regular feedback to keep Owners informed of the status of regular tasks, issues, projects, and assignments.

Requirements:

  • Degree in accounting / bookkeeping (will consider equivalent proven knowledge with job experience)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Office Management
  • PC proficiency with Outlook, Excel, Word, and QuickBooks
  • Tech Savvy
  • Well organized
  • Reliable
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Reasonable travel distance from McGregor / College Pkwy intersection
  • Background check

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
