Primary duties:
- Process Accounts Payable, including preparation of ACH and manual check payments and maintaining all vendor files
- Identify and post daily receipts and electronic funds transfers
- Reconcile and replenish programs' allowance accounts
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations
Other
Working closely with the Senior Accountant, who is also our Payroll Specialist, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for accurate, timely recording of payroll-related transactions, including posting journal entries, and monthly accruals. Will also be responsible for benefits administration tasks, including updating employee enrollments and providing assistance where needed.
Will assist the VP of Finance with month end close, budgeting and audit preparation.
Skills
Strong Excel skills
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP or similar accounting software
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in human services
