Well established Nashua law firm seeks reliable individual to fill a bookkeeping and office administration role.
Duties include:
- Payroll – including preparation and transmission using Paychex payroll service, remitting payroll taxes, filing quarterly and annual tax reports, filing W-2s and 1096
- Bank reconciliations and monthly Standard Journal Entries
- Maintain office supplies and equipment inventory
- Assist with bookkeeping tasks such as invoicing, accounts payable/receivable
- Conduct research and compile data for reports
- Benefits administration – 401k, Group Health/Dental/Life, annual reporting and renewals
- Local courier trips to courts and other errands as needed
- Reception coverage, as needed
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as bookkeeper or in a similar administrative role
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Familiarity with financial concepts and accounting principles
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation, budgeting, and financial report writing is a plus
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
