Key Responsibilities:
Supervises the front desk and provides back up support to the front desk as needed.
Manage financial documentation for multiple clients, varying in complexity, and oversee client payrolls.
Compile and e-file completed tax returns, providing backup support, including covering the front desk when necessary. Background and credit check clearance required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Reconcile revenues with the general ledger, record invoices, checks, and account statements via computer systems.
Process accounts payable, supervise invoice file maintenance, manage check mailouts, invoice payments, and bank deposits.
Compare bank statements with the general ledger, occasionally traveling to clients for off-site bookkeeping.
Process various payrolls, enter payroll information into the books, and manage payroll liability payments, including necessary quarterly and annual reports.
Requirements - Skills and Abilities:
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
Comprehensive knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting procedures.
Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and exceptional written and verbal communication.
Impeccable attention to detail and adaptability to changing job requirements.
Experience in effectively managing others, working as a strong team player, and operating independently.
Education and Experience:
An associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or a Bookkeeping Certificate is preferred but not mandatory.
Several years of hands-on accounting software experience in an entry-level position as an accounting clerk or assistant.
Valid driver's license is required.
Full-time role (40 hours/week), with required overtime during tax season (February to mid-April).
Expected Hours: Minimum of 40 hours per week.
