Job summary:
Responsible for cleaning and service of assigned restaurant area according to the standards of cleanliness set by management to ensure a clean, comfortable, safe and attractive environment for our Guests
Scope:
Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting the Company Service Standards at all times
Supervision exercised:
None
Supervision received:
Supervisor: manager on duty
Supervision: has assigned duties and procedures which are monitored throughout the shift by management.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting the Company Service Standards at all times.
2. Maintaining a clean environment at all times.
3. Responsible for the cleaning of all floors, walls, mirrors, ceilings, light fixtures, mats and equipment as directed
4. Responsible for detail cleaning of the restaurant areas
5. Responsible for scrubbing, cleaning and steaming assigned areas per Health Department code
6. Responsible for the safe removal of all trash, trash cans and debris
7. Load, run and unload dish machine.
8. Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately.
9. Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
10. Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware.
11. Keep dish room clean and organized.
12. Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen.
13. Bag and haul dish room trash to dumpster at designed times.
14. Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
15. Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies.
16. Clean food preparation and production areas as required.
Non-physical qualifications:
1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form
2. Ability to work indoors and outdoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as but not limited to noise, dust and second-hand smoke
3. Ability to work with cleaning products, chemicals and solvents using safety equipment provided by the company
4. Must be able to obtain required work cards
The physical qualifications listed below are general requirements for this position. The actual exertion level and frequency of use can and does fluctuate depending on the individual task being performed.
Physical qualifications:
1. Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols
2. Ability to lift and move up to 70 pounds
3. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment including but not limited to mopping, cleaning supplies, and safety equipment
4. Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy and may contain secondhand smoke.
5. Ability to perform tasks from a non-sitting position
6. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned areas as well as constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
Other duties:
1. Report all problems involving guests or employees to management.
2. Additional related duties as requested by manager.
