Seeking an experienced BODY SHOP PAINTER in Ridgefield Park NJ Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Body Shop Painter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles (Primarily LARGE FORMAT TRUCKS) for paint, mixing color to match OEM standards, and applying paint to achieve OEM quality finishes. You will be responsible for wet sanding and buffing to ensure a smooth and flawless finish, as well as identifying and correcting any imperfections or defects. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
Responsibilities:
Prep vehicles properly for paint (clean, tape, mask)
Wet sand and buff to achieve OEM quality finishes
Prepare color to match; Mix color and ensure all formulations, preparations, top coatings and curing times meet OEM standards for proper application, sequence and timing while insuring minimum material waste
Spray out cards to ensure color match
Proficiently able to prime and block, while looking for imperfections and defects
Inspect finished product to ensure quality standards are met
Maintain a clean and organized work area and Follow all safety guidelines and regulations
Job Skills & Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Body Shop Painter
Proficient in wet sanding, buffing, and polishing to achieve OEM quality finishes
Able to mix color and prepare formulations to match OEM standards
Skilled in priming and blocking to identify and correct imperfections and defects
Knowledge of safety guidelines and regulations in a BODY SHOP environment
Keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Steady work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment - Days/Hours: Monday-Friday 8 am to 5 pm and rotating Saturday.
