Body Shop Estimator

This position is onsite Monday - Friday (7:30am - 5:30pm).
JOB DESCRIPTION:

• This position will assess and estimate the cost of repairing damage to automotive vehicles.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify all visible and hidden damage.
• Address client concerns and/or questions, providing excellent customer service.
• Document the extent of the damage, including structural, mechanical, and cosmetic issues.
• Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates using CCC One software.
• Communicate with the client(s) and the insurance company(s) to explain the repair process and estimate details.
• Order all necessary replacement parts and materials to repair damaged vehicles safely and effectively.
• Collaborate with the Body Shop team to schedule and coordinate the repair process.
• Keep clients informed about the progress of repairs and any potential changes to the original estimate.
• Perform post-repair inspections to verify the completeness and quality of the repair work.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, repairs, and customer communications.
• Complete and submit all necessary documentation to insurance companies and regulatory bodies.
• Other responsibilities may be assigned through continued employment.

DESIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma; GED
• State and/or I-Car Certificates are preferred.
• Prior Body Shop/collision center experience is preferred.
• Must have a strong knowledge of repair management software(s).
• Must be able to work in a dynamic atmosphere.
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
• Must have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Reliable, trustworthy, organized, and efficient.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs, along with bending, swooping, and kneeling.
• Ability to operate an automobile with a valid driver's license.
• Must allow pre-employment screenings, background, driving, and drug test.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation and comply with workplace health procedures as directed by the public health department.

2525 28th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI, 49512. We are near great lunch spots and shopping centers and 15 minutes from the heart of Grand Rapids.
