- We are looking to fill one position of about 30-35 hours a week, shifts vary from 8hrs-10hrs. We are open 7 days per week and the candidate will be expected to work a variety of weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have an open schedule with WEEKEND and holiday availability.
- The candidate must love cats and dogs of all breeds and provide excellent care while utilizing a Fear Free approach to any interaction.
- Perform all aspects of cleaning duties required for boarding & daycare. This is a continual process throughout the day and can be a physically demanding role.
- Directly interacts with dogs at play, ensuring they get plenty of exercise throughout their stay!
- Build connections with pet parents to discuss their pet’s unique personalities and provide a safe fun environment during their visit.
- Minimum age requirement is 18 years.
Boarding / Doggie Daycare hours of operation:
Monday – Friday, 7:30am-6pm
Saturday, 8am-6pm
Sunday, 10am- 6pm
Position Summary:
The Boarding Technician is responsible for managing effective and efficient daily operations of our boarding facility in accordance with Raintree’s mission, philosophy, policies, and procedures, and with the safety of people and animals at the forefront of all activities. The Boarding Technician oversees the following areas: animal care, customer service, doggy daycare, and helping with the upkeep of our facility.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of our facility
- Ensures that the maximum standard of care (i.e., food, water, sanitation, safety) is provided to all animals cared for at our boarding facility
- Customer service responsibilities
- Kennel care functions
- Upkeep of our facility
Qualifications:
- A minimum of one year of experience working in a pet care industry is preferred, but not required.
- Knowledge of: Animal health, behavior and breeds, customer service methods
- Abilities: To make decisions in the best interest of the pets regarding their care and welfare, to exercise good judgment when dealing with pet parents and team members, flexibility to meet the needs of the organization.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a boarding/daycare setting with the potential exposure to high noise levels, zoonotic disease, animal bites and scratches. Work is performed indoors and outdoors with exposure to inclement weather, cleaning agents and chemicals, and animal waste. Frequent walking, standing, and bending is required to perform the essential functions of the job. Regular lifting of <40 pounds may be required.
Compensation:
$15-16/hour
