Board Administrator
The New Mexico Finance Authority (NMFA) in Santa Fe is seeking a qualified Board Administrator that will report to the Board Administration Manager. This position performs general administrative duties, including document preparation, printing and assembly, word processing, correspondence, meeting packets and binder booklets. Assists with planning, coordinating, and arranging Board of Directors, Committee and Subcommittee meetings, including drafting agendas. Creates, updates, distributes, and files meeting communications and documentation. Attends board/committee meetings, takes notes during meetings, distributes completed notes per leadership instructions. Supports fellow staff in taking and keeping minutes. Prepares expense reports for Board Members. The position facilitates the needs of multiple functions and requires a person who is adaptable and resourceful with very strong organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail. This position requires strong written and oral skills; solid proficiency in Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat along with the ability to facilitate the scheduling of and managing of meetings via Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
The NMFA is a government instrumentality whose mission is to advance New Mexico by financing impactful, well-planned projects. The ideal candidate will possess administrative experience in supporting a governmental agency, finance organization, or similar entity; an Associate’s and at least 4 years of relevant experience. The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to a variety of audiences. The ideal candidate will be versatile and open to learning, as there will be extensive training on the Board Administration process. The ability to balance multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment is required. The ability to quickly develop and maintain effective relationships with coworkers, senior internal leaders, and public officials is highly desirable and necessary to execute the mission of the New Mexico Finance Authority.
