Blood Donor Courier

This position is responsible for driving our bloodmobile or box truck to and from remote blood drives. Loads and unloads vehicles and helps Blood Donor collection staff set up and tear down equipment. Performs donor registration on the computer and does record keeping at Blood Drives. Transports collected units to our central lab location as needed.

Hours for this position have a variable start between 5:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. (this is dependent upon the start of the blood drive). Days of the week are Monday - Friday with occasional weekend rotation. This is a PRN (as needed) position.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous experience driving large vehicles helpful

Must be computer literate with previous data entry experience helpful

Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required

Wears uniforms and coats provided, appropriate for weather conditions.

Requires ability to perform physical aspects of the job including lifting (50 lb. maximum), walking, and getting in and out of vehicles
