JOB SUMMARY
The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician (MT/MLT) performs and monitors various medical laboratory analyses of patient specimens to provide accurate test results for confirming clinical diagnoses and treatment therapies.

JOB SUMMARY
The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician (MT/MLT) performs and monitors various medical laboratory analyses of patient specimens to provide accurate test results for confirming clinical diagnoses and treatment therapies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform laboratory analysis following documented procedures. This includes performing PCR (polymerase chain reaction) based molecular assays, possesing basic knowledge of molecular biology and molecular technologies, and executing all tasks with attention to details.
- Verify and report laboratory findings in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Follow all established regulations related to specimen processing, QC, lab safety, etc .
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology required
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology preferred
- 1 year experience and/or training in a laboratory setting
- ASCP certification preferred.
