AddressBlock and Concrete Installer - 7 openings, full-time temporary, seasonal 04/01/2024-11/30/2024
Employer: VanPutte Seed Co. Inc., dba VanPutte Landscape, 136 North Avenue, Rochester, NY 14626.
Duties: Unload truck at jobsites. This will include tools, bagged cement and block. This will also include retaining wall block, blue stone, or boxes of veneer. Carry above mentioned products and hand them to the mason installer. Mix cement in a tub and have ready for installer. Prepare cement for installer and have ready when doing veneer. Lift block/stone and hand to installer as needed. Clean up cut Block and excess cement from ground. Clean cement mixing area and wash all tools. Load truck to prepare for departure from jobsite. Ability to lift 75lbs in a repetitive manner is required.
Employer will provide transportation to and from worksites from designated pick up location: 136 North Avenue, Rochester, NY 14626.
No education or experience required. Employer is willing to accept a trainee; on-the-job training will be provided.
Work days: Mon-Sat, 6am-4pm, 60 hours/week. Regular time at $25.76/hour. OT at $38.64/hour.
A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly on Thursday. All deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law will be made.
Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. Return transportation will be provided if the worker completes the employment period or is dismissed early by the employer. Daily subsistence rates are $15.46/day without receipts or up to $59/day with receipts.
