Blender Technician - D Team

• Print and utilize the production schedule (e.g. the SAP production schedule) and computerized database for proper formulas
• Prepares blend mixes or other products for packaging according to appropriate method of manufacturer and operating procedures
• Understands the theory, operation and troubleshooting for blending systems (e.g. the Tetra blend system)
• Designates storage of juice and concentrate from tankers and coordinates loading of blending products
• Weigh essential vitamins and any other hand add ingredients
• Takes samples, files reference samples, and keeps necessary records
• Controls flow of finished product to proper packaging line
• Measures, monitors, and documents ingredient usage to ensure delivery is in accordance with acceptable formula specification maximizing yields
• Responsible for the accurate documentation of all raw materials used and finished product, as well as product leftover and placed into storage, on a daily basis (e.g. documentation via SAP)
• Quality check product (e.g. taste, smell, and visually inspect), adhering to good manufacturing practices, and record and dump rework and premixes
• Correctly enter quality data, open and close work orders, properly prioritize work orders, close PMs and search for basic equipment information, and document and comment on unplanned downtime (e.g. utilization of Redzone)
• Perform shutdown, start up, equipment changeovers, flavor and size changes and adjustments.
• Safely and competently operate equipment to maintain and support continuous operation (e.g. fork trucks, fork lifts, scissor lifts, and walk-behind lifts)
• Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate quality checks
• Completion of routine maintenance checks and enter a record of necessary equipment repairs into a maintenance log.
• Keeps area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition (e.g. biotrace swabbing)
• Ensure proper discharge of cleaning chemicals and product residue in accordance with wastewater pre-treatment regulations
• Contribute to team process effectively and maintain good customer/supplier relationships
• Other duties and responsibilities of this position can include inventory control and control of processes.
• May be required to work outside or may be assigned to work in the freezer.
