Description
- Selected individuals will perform technical installation activities including multi-pin connection terminations (Amphinal, Cannon, RJ45, etc), reading and installation based on electrical and mechanical drawings, mechanical assembly of boxes (LRUs) into rack slide mounts requiring nuts/bolts/rack mount installations.
- Routing of wiring and cables and lacing of routed wires/cables will be required. Analysis of work performed will be performed using multi-meter testing for cable continuity checks.
- Candidates should be able to function in a dynamic team environment following direction from written operations orders.
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the Secret level. Position requires some travel in support of contract activities.
Required Skills:
- Perform Termination of multi-pin Mil-Spec connectors (like Amphinal, Cannon)
- Ability to read Electrical and Mechanical drawings
- Ability to terminate LAN cables (RJ45 connections)
- Able to perform mechanical assembly (nuts/bolts/racks; LRUs to slides primarily)
- Able to route and lace wiring and cables
- Able to use a multi-meter to perform cable continuity checks
Desired skills:
- Aircraft Avionics Technician experience desired.
