Role description:

Arcadis is seeking an experienced field Bird Mitigation technician with strong leadership abilities to join the Arcadis Construction Services group in Yerington, NV.  This will be 100% site based role at the Yerington Anaconda Mine Site.  The role will support the Arcadis Construction Service business line.  The role will include Bird Mitigation activities and training to become a health and safety leader. Job specific training will be provided by Arcadis, as needed.

Role accountabilities:

As a field Bird Mitigation technician you will be responsible for inspecting evaporation ponds around the mine site for migratory bird activity, as well as responsibilities as a health and safety leader and general site maintenance. Expectations are to always work cooperatively to provide value and quality service.

  • Be able to identify local migratory bird species.
  • Be able to perform site maintenance duties using typical hand tools.
  • Be able to work split hours throughout each day, with breaks in between. This entails working a few hours at sunrise, a few hours mid-day, and a few hours at sunset for a total of 8 hours a day, Monday through Friday.

In this role you must possess a valid driver license, be able to pass medical exam, and be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. of equipment throughout 8-hour shift.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience environmental construction and remediation
  • Valid driver's license. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 40-hour HAZWOPER
  • OSHA 30 hour certification

Arcadis offers benefits for full time and part time positions. The salary range for this position is $21.16 - $31.71 hr.
