Biomedical Imaging Technician

Description:

The Biomedical Imaging Technician 1 is an entry-level position. This role is responsible for the processing of images in the design and manufacture of patient-specific surgical guides. This will involve receiving work orders for design, communicating with clients, reviewing and converting medical images into 3D models.

Duties Include:

• Generating 3D models from medical images with segmentation software
• Receiving and processing work orders for custom medical devices
• Maintaining documentation for medical device history records
• Reviewing medical images and customer facing documents for accuracy
• Providing excellent customer service in all interactions with clients and partners
• Meeting internal needs and expectations in a satisfactory manner
• Working in compliance with all Quality Management Systems

Requirements:

• Must be able to communicate (oral and written) well with team and clients
• Strong attention to detail
• Must have the ability to work within a regulated environment and follow appropriate procedures and standards
• Demonstrates cooperation with other members to achieve collective goals.
• Appropriately gives and is open to feedback from team and coworkers.

• Experience in the medical device industry or related field is desired
• Experience with medical image processing and software is desired
• Familiarity with anatomy (spine preferred) is desired
• Segmentation software experience is desired
• Experience with Wacom (or similar tablet) technology and use is desired

Compensation will vary depending on experience
