Position Description:
Our Biomedical Technician role is an unique opportunity to employ your technical experience by collaborating with healthcare professionals and participating in technical initiatives in medical device technology. You will be the primary technician onsite and will be responsible for replacing parts, troubleshooting, repairing, preventative maintenance and updating infusion pumps in a hospital setting.
This role will require ongoing support at a local healthcare system, traveling between the associated hospital and medical facilities locally, and will see you servicing multiple infusion pumps per day to ensure quality and upkeep.

Training:
This position has a combination of hands-on and onsite training with a mentor. TBD if a training class will be scheduled.
Responsibilities:

  • Organizing, testing, updating medical devices, preventative maintenance, installing/configuring hardware, software, and network products
  • Manually move and carry medical equipment and un-box medical devices from shipping or storage containers
  • Set-up and organization of equipment and workstations
  • Conduct routine checks and records data from product tests after installation and configuration
  • Full-time commitment, M - F
  • Provide ongoing communication and customer support to on-site hospital staff
  • Complete other duties at the discretion of management

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of technical experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electronic equipment/hardware required
  • Must have experience servicing medical devices

  • Highschool diploma required, associates degree or technical certification preferred
  • Strong business acumen, communication skills, and professionalism required
  • An active and unrestricted driver license is required for this position
  • Must have a personal vehicle and willing to use it for job related assignments
  • Must be comfortable with basic software programs and Microsoft operating system and Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
  • Must be comfortable using a USB and organizing files
  • Ability to assemble and disassemble equipment and devices
  • Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Assignment-based schedule with 40+ hours commitment per week when on assignment
  • Ability to clear hospital vendor credentialing requirements, including proof of vaccination status
  • Must be located in or able to reasonably commute to Seattle, WA and Tacoma, WA

This position has the potential for future career opportunities in traveling field engineer or technician roles; a willingness to be flexible to a 100% national travel role is a plus!
Preferred Experience:
Maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation and configuration of infusion pumps.
  • Hardware - Replacing Bezels, key pads, buttons, batteries, etc.
  • Software - Calibrations, networking, software updates, etc.
  • Set-up and organize the equipment and workstations.
  • Conduct routine checks and records data from product tests after installation and configuration.

The potential base pay range for this role is $30.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
