Summary of Position: Under supervision perform preventive maintenance, minor repairs, calibrate, and maintain medical equipment, instrumentation and support systems of minimal complexity used in healthcare delivery. Inspect, install, and perform inventory assessments, preventive maintenance, and demand maintenance on medical equipment.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for clinical equipment throughout the organization as assigned, including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, maintaining parts inventory, and participating in on-call rotation.
- Assure documentation of all actions and test results according to department policy, using computerized maintenance management software applications.
- Review outcome of preventive maintenance actions and make recommendations to department staff concerning improvements.
- Recommend new equipment and testing procedures.
- Understand and comply with Joint Commissions and other applicable standards and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree or equivalent work experience in the electronics field is desired.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of electronic or biomedical engineering technology as applied to the calibration and repair of Biomedical Equipment.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations is desirable.
Training certificates as deemed necessary by department policy for a variety of medical equipment.

Salary Range: $21.78 - $35.90
