Job description

InfuSystem is a growing healthcare service provider, specializing in infusion pumps and related products and services for patients in hospitals, clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, and other major service centers. We provide direct payer rentals, pump and consumable sales, and biomedical services and repair, serving all 50 states and Canada. Headquartered in Rochester Hills, Michigan, we have Centers of Excellence in Kansas, California, Massachusetts, and Ontario, Canada.

SUMMARY:

The Biomedical / Electronics Assistant is responsible for programing, testing, and evaluating medical equipment. They will accurately document service actions in a digital work order, update device status and identifiers in the company systems, and demonstrate our “customer is 1st” culture by taking ownership and doing the right thing.

IN THIS ROLE, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

  • Daily testing of medical equipment.
  • Providing the most cost effective and timely testing of medical devices to meet all customer needs.
  • Documenting essential details of service actions and observations of pump conditions and operations. This crucial process will allow people to understand the history of a device and provide the customer with more beneficial information.
  • Accurately follow established process and procedures to test and recertify devices.
  • Complete annual tests on a limited number of pump models.
  • Accurately entering work orders with correct parts, labor, equipment info and performance results into the Service Information System.
  • Understand and execute principals of 5S workplace organization.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Exceptional verbal and communication skills as well as strong organizational skills
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include word, excel and outlook.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to add, subtract, and match numbers.
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
