Position Summary:
Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) is currently accepting applications for a Biology Lab Coordinator. The main responsibilities are to prepare labs for introductory biology, environmental science, microbiology, anatomy and physiology, plus other biology courses as needed. The Coordinator is also responsible for supervising student laboratory assistants in the laboratory and assisting the instructor(s) in laboratory instruction. Further, the coordinator inventories biology supplies and organizes the ordering of replacement items. The coordinator will be responsible for lab preparedness and maintenance of an orderly, clean, and safe environment.
Required Qualifications: Masters degree preferred, BS required, in biology, microbiology, biochemistry or closely related field required. Experience in laboratory preparation and maintenance. Preference will be given to candidates with prior laboratory safety or chemical hygiene training and certification.
