Position Summary
The Bin Delivery Driver will safely and efficiently operate heavy-duty trucks and is responsible for the delivery and/or removal of waste or recycling containers to customers. The ideal candidate will be hard-working and enthusiastic, with an acceptable driving record and the ability to pass regular drug screenings.
Work Environment and Expectations
The normal setting for this job is outdoors and/or driving a heavy-duty vehicle. The Bin Delivery Driver will report to work at the Atlas Disposal Operations Facility in Sacramento. Shifts are Monday – Friday starting at 5:30 am and shifts are typically 10 hours per day. Bin Delivery Drivers are paid $20-24 per hour.
The Bin Delivery Driver will be required to:
Use motor coordination with arms, hands, fingers, and legs dexterity.
Be able to push, pull, bend, twist, and lift up to 100 pounds.
Be exposed to a physical environment involving dirt, trash, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements most of the workday.

Qualifications
Hold a current Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License with an air-brake endorsement.
6 months of previous experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL.
Holds an acceptable driving record.
Mechanical knowledge, and painting and welding experience to help in the bin shop is a plus.
Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Operates vehicle by Atlas Disposal Industries safety rules and operating procedures, Occupational and Safety Health Act, Department of Transportation requirements, and all local, municipal, state, and federal laws.
Performs pre-and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles and documents checks on standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report.).
Operates computerized mobile tablet to track progress on route, start and complete stops, and enters notes and landfill information.
Works closely with Dispatch & Supervisors to improve route efficiencies, communicate incidents, service interruptions, or customer requests.
Identifies and reports all containers in need of repair or replacement.
Ensures the size and number of containers on the route reconciles to the service level listed on the service list.
