Job Description
Perform Mechanical / HVAC; Plumbing, Fire Protection; Electrical Power, Lighting, Fire Alarm systems design layouts and drafting & modeling in the building construction industry based on the direction of the lead engineer.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Produce BIM - CAD documents using Revit & AutoCAD software.
- Follow firm standards, procedures and guidelines that conform with national standards, our firm’s culture, and the emerging best practices.
- Attend BIM meetings as well as working with engineers and BIM - CAD Management on improvements.
- Work with architects and consultants to set up backgrounds for use in engineering documentation, such as drawings.
- Assist in model / drawing setup, organization.
- Aid in end-user support for plotting / electronic file submissions and serve as resources for project teams.
- Assist engineers in design tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of High School graduation or equivalent. Technical or Associate degree in CAD Technology from an accredited institution or college preferred.
- 3+ years of experience using Revit in combined academic and professional settings is required. Advanced Revit knowledge is preferred.
· Work samples or a portfolio that demonstrate a high level of technical competence are recommended.
- Experience and basic knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
- Knowledge of LISP, VBA, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office products and Dynamo is a plus.
· Demonstrated ability to provide high quality, complete sets of drawings.
- Strong written and oral communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to adhere to deadlines, and a strong work ethic.
- Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced team-based environment.
