BILLING and SHIPPING REPRESENTATIVE
POSITION DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide quality customer service, over the phone and in person.
- Sales Order Entry.
- Assist walk-in customers.
- Freight Reports for A/P entry.
- Filing.
- Back-up for receptionist, answering multi-line phone system.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- ** MUST be detail oriented, self-motivated, and a self-starter, requiring little direction. **
- Must have good telephone skills and interact well with others.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Demonstrate ability to effectively communicate orally or in writing with co-workers, departments, customers and vendors.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages.
- With minimal supervision, demonstrate the ability to solve practical problems, interpret, resolve problems and using a variety of instructions or guides received in writing, orally, in diagrams or schedule formats.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- HazMat experience is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided, if needed.
- DOT experience is a plus, but not required.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- None
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Required to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Primarily office environment but may be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, fumes and oils.
