Job Title: Billing Manager - Petroleum Distribution Company
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the billing processes related to petroleum product distribution and transportation services.
- Ensure accurate and timely generation of invoices for customers, considering contractual terms and pricing structures.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile accounts and address any discrepancies in billing records.
- Implement and maintain efficient billing systems and procedures to streamline the invoicing process.
- Monitor and analyze billing data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Work closely with the sales and operations teams to understand customer agreements and resolve billing inquiries.
- Keep abreast of industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance in billing practices.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to address billing-related concerns and facilitate timely payments.
- Provide leadership and guidance to billing staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Prepare regular reports for management, summarizing billing performance, outstanding receivables, and key financial metrics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in billing management within the petroleum distribution or similar industry.
- In-depth knowledge of billing software and ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of petroleum product pricing structures and industry regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with internal teams and external customers.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve accurate and efficient billing processes.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining high levels of accuracy in billing records.
- Familiarity with common carrier regulations and compliance is a plus.
