Job Summary:
The ideal candidate should be highly organized, adept at multi-tasking with experience using Deltek Vision to join our team. The Billing Manager will be responsible for overseeing the billing functions of the organization, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and maintaining efficient billing processes.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Managing the billing team
- Ensuring accurate and timely invoicing
- Reviewing and approving billing adjustments
- Developing and implementing billing procedures
- Working with other departments to resolve billing issues.
- Providing regular reports on billing activities and financial performance
- Staying up to date on industry best practices and changes in billing regulations
- Processing a high volume of complex bills
- Ensuring compliance with the firm’s policies and internal controls
- Working closely with project managers and project accountants
- Preparing monthly billing reports and analyses
- Reviewing unbilled labor reports monthly
- Corresponding to client inquiries and troubleshooting in a timely manner
- Assessing net billing in comparison to net revenue monthly
- Performing related duties as assigned
Key Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- A full knowledge of Microsoft Office tools is required.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Eager to learn and take initiative.
- Good problem-solving and time management
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience within a professional services environment, preferably in Architectural, Engineering and Construction.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in using Deltek Vision software, required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage confidential information.
- Possess and demonstrate the highest degree of integrity Commitment to ethical behavior and compliance with all Company policies, current FASB guidance, and US and International laws.
- Proven experience as a Billing Manager or similar role
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills

Location: New York is preferred, but open to possibly Stamford, CT or Philadephia, PA.
Type: Hybrid. 2-3 days in office, flexible days/working hours.
