Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic professional for the role of Billing Manager to take the lead in optimizing billing operations with high-level problem-solving skills. In this key position, you will complete and oversee diverse client billing, manage billing data, and drive collections. Your expertise will shape accurate and efficient operations with keen aptitude for statistics, and comfort with both numbers and technology. The Billing Manager provides crucial support to the Chief Executive Officer, oversees accounts receivable/aging, and delivers regular business analytics.
Responsibilities:
Supports COO by performing assigned tasks including but not limited to the following:
- Supervises and provides support and ongoing training to the Billing Assistant
- Perform data analysis and audits, utilizing tools like Excel, with a specific emphasis on pivot tables.
- Oversees all billing for four different Regional Center’s clients, Easter Seals clients and Insurance Clients. Completes direct billing for many of these contracts while conducting thorough audits of billing processes, including running filters and ensuring accuracy.
- Oversees Co-Pay billing for Insurance clients. This may be direct parent invoicing or secondary billing to Regional Centers or Inland Empire Health Plan.
- Audits and reviews billing data for all contracts and clients (Regional Center, Easter Seals and other Medical) and provides follow-up to remediate issues as needed.
- Manages the outside medical billing company to maximize medical billing collections.
- Maintains Master Rate Sheet, Medical contract forms and other forms as needed and updates and maintains rates in Central Reach.
- Navigate Central Reach, a practice management software, to handle employee payroll, billing, and various service codes.
- Manages the aging and follows up with each invoice as needed to secure full payment.
- Compiles the monthly business analytic reports and assists the COO with contract audits as needed.
- Maintains insurance credentialing for Coyne providers and assists the COO with special projects as needed.
Schedule: Hybrid (90% Remote / 10% Onsite as needed) at the Company’s Main Office (Currently in Mission Valley, San Diego) and other regional locations as needed (Currently in Garden Grove, Riverside).
Qualifications:
- Fluent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Demonstrates ability to work well with a team and take direction from supervisors
- Communicates effectively in person, via phone, and email
- Demonstrates discretion and maintains confidentiality regarding staff or client files, and discussions pertaining to business or clinical issues
- Flexibility to manage the changing demands of office tasks
- Minimum of 5 years experience in billing and business analytics is preferred
Additional Requirements:
- Must be insurable as demonstrated by a current Motor Vehicle Report, have a current valid California driver’s license, and valid car insurance in effect in the individual’s name. These records may be subject to review by insurance representatives since the individual drives for the company daily.
- Must submit fingerprints to the Department of Justice, State of California, to demonstrate clearance for work in an Early Intervention Program.
- Is familiar with and performs duties following HIPAA regulations.
- Maintains good attendance records and punctuality.
