Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Billing Clerk is responsible for administrative duties, organizing, tracking, and applying payments to customer accounts. This role involves providing customer service with accounts, balance dues, collections. Reaching out to customers in regard to declined charges. Providing accurate commissions and times for technicians pay to be submitted to Payroll Department.
Essential Job Functions
- Works in conjunction with the Customer Service Team to ensure process compliance, job completion, and customer satisfaction through the billing process.
- Bills and closes all plumbing jobs with customers and Home Depot.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of all customer jobs.
- Facilitates strict Delta Mechanical and Home Depot collections process to secure all uncollectible funds from THD.
- Serves as the control point for all customer refunds verifies proper authorization and processes verifies refunds in a timely manner to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work directly with customers while maintaining a positive experience for the customer.
- Work in partnership with the Payroll Department to prepare weekly payroll reports.
- Ensures correct piece rate commission amounts are paid per pay scale and employment agreement with the installer.
- Completes all required Company training/compliance courses as assigned.
- Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice.
Education
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in Billing and Payroll field.
- This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
- Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of occasionally and/or minor amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
- No exposure to adverse environmental conditions (typical office/administrative setting).
