Medicaid Billing and Collections Specialist and Administrative Assistant
Job Description
We are seeking a Billing and Collections Specialist that has experience working with Medicaid and is familiar with ABA coding and billing. This position will be the administrative assistant to the Executive Clinical Director and Administrative Supervisor and will report to the QA Supervisor.
Responsibilities and Duties
Performs duties and responsibilities assigned by agency Clinical Director or CEO. Includes but is not limited to the following tasks:
- Responds to email and phone correspondence within 24 hours or sooner
- Perform administrative duties as assigned.
- Daily submission of claims
- Claims resubmission and appeals
- Check eligibility and benefit verification
- Prepare, review and submit claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim submission
- Update billing software with claim status and rate changes
- Update spreadsheet and collection reports on daily basis
- Generate internal reports on weekly basis
- Follow up and contact with Medicaid office
- Insurance credentialing
Qualifications and Skills
- ICD-10: 2 years
- Prior knowledge of Medicaid billing, guidelines and regulations
- Experience with ABA (applied behavior analysis) coding and billing
- Insurance validation
- Claims appeals
- Strong Communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word

Pay: $18.92 - $22.79 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
