Billing Accountant (Civil Engineering)

Location: Be based in one of the following Texas offices: Frisco, North Austin (Round Rock), or Houston.

Job Responsibilities:

• Input budget data for assigned projects
• Administer invoice submission to clients as directed by project managers
• Meet frequently with project managers to review status of projects for invoicing, unbilled and accounts receivable
• Works independently to research and resolve issues
• May provide accounting support to other staff as needed
• May be asked to train, educate or guide non-financial staff on accounting procedures
• Report on ad hoc project related requests from project managers
• Respond to requests for more detail from clients
• Close out project accounts upon project completion

Job Qualifications:

• 2-3 year minimum years of billing experience including project accounting
• Experience with an engineering or professional services industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience providing strong client relations to both internal and external stakeholders.
• BS in Accounting or a related field is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft products and intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
• Preferred Proficiency in financial or accounting software like (Vision or Vantage Point)
• TxDOT or Public Sector Client experience a plus
