Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center (SCHHC) is a Critical Access Hospital in Bandon, Oregon. Our mission is "Quality healthcare with a personal touch". Do you have EPIC experience? Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center has an onsite full-time opening for a Biller II or III. Responsibilities include the accurate and timely preparation and submission of claims to the proper insurance companies by either electronic or hard copy mail. Review claims to make sure that the payer-specific billing requirements are met, follow up on billing, determine and apply appropriate adjustments, answer inquiries, and update accounts as necessary. Confidentiality of patient information is vital to this position.

Skills, Knowledge, & Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must have some medical background.
  • Experience with EPIC system required.
  • Two to four years of related Medical Insurance billing experience is preferred. (Biller II)
  • Four years of related Medical Insurance billing experience is required. (Biller III)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a drive to provide exceptional service.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, and computer proficiency specifically in Microsoft Office and online software.

Wage min to mid:

Biller II $ 18.88 to 21.70 (DOE)

Biller III $ 19.82 to 22.78 (DOE)

This is a Full-Time onsite position that is eligible for benefits. * SCHHC pays the full employee-only amount for Health, Dental, Vision, and Basic Life & AD&D insurance. *

Employment with Southern Coos Hospital is contingent upon an acceptable pre-employment drug screening and background check.
