A nonprofit services organization in New York City is actively seeking a Spanish-speaking Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their Pediatric Foster Care team in the Bronx. In this role, the Pediatric Foster Care Nurse (LPN / RN) will be responsible for supervising day-to-day health services activities of the unaccompanied minors in an educational setting.

The Pediatric Foster Care Nurse (LPN / RN) will be responsible for:
- Providing general medical care and treatment to individual supported per program
- Performing physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions
- Scheduling, tracking and coordinating all outside medical services for all youth in the program
- Providing health evaluations, assessments and screenings with follow ups
- Reviewing all Pediatric guidelines for care, including immunizations and testing
- Recording physical findings based on patient's condition.
- Participating in clinical team and other health professional to prepare comprehensive patient care plan utilizing historical and current information
- Conducting and assists in medical examination of youth after incident
- Providing health education to youth supported, including reproductive health education
- Calculating, monitoring, and analyzing reports regarding medication administration and lab results
- Monitoring and documenting all occurrences of shift and logging
- Performing other duties, as needed
- 2+ years of Pediatric Clinical / Case Management experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and/or licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Experienced in medication administration, first aid and triage
- Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Excel)
- Solid assessment and documentation skills
