Bilingual Packaging Frontline Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY

Position assists Packaging Supervisor and aids in management of the day-to-day functional areas and processes of goods through the packaging unit, from customer delivery ensuring company and customer specifications and requirements are followed and carried out. Also responsible for the successful implementation and monitoring of the operational initiatives and functional plans in support of the company’s strategies, goals and objectives.

PRINCIPAL TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Aids and coordinates activities of workers engaged in packaging products and materials for storage or shipment. Studies production order to ascertain type and quantity of product, containers used and other packaging requirements.

· Responsible for ensuring packaging operations and inspects containers to verify conformance specifications.

· Monitor’s containers and other supplies for delivery to workstations.

· Assists Packaging Supervisor on training employees on company policies, guidelines, procedures with special emphasis on safety including but not limited to, quality and techniques for receiving, packaging and shipment of products.

· Help drive improvement in all aspects of the packaging process. Must continually seek improvement in the department including employee safety, quality control, productivity, costs and delivery time must constantly be improved.

· Report any equipment issues to Packaging Supervisor.

· Ensures a safe working environment for all employees and compliance to company.

· Ensures a clean working environment with particular attention paid to product storage, damage prevention and internal security.

· Assist in training of staff to be up to date on the safe and proper use of all power equipment used to carry out their job functions.

· Instills and supports an environment of continuous improvement.

· Monitors employee performance and provides feedback to Packaging Supervisor to aid in correction/training as needed.

· Other duties/projects as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

· High School Diploma/GED, additional college level and or supervisory related training and or course work is a plus.

· 2+ years warehouse experience with a minimum of 1 to 2 years of supervisory experience required.

· Must be able to effectively and professionally communicate verbally and in writing in English and Spanish.

· Computer skills and a working knowledge in Microsoft Word, General Enterprise Systems.

· Experience with receiving/shipping, inventory control functions using our warehouse management system or similar system.

· Proven leadership abilities with the ability to lead by example in terms of overall performance and conduct.

· Strong continuous improvement and root cause analysis skill set and ability to define quick and creative solutions to problems.

· Ability to work flexible hours and or a variety of shifts.

· Work with all levels of management and line associates

· Strong human relations skills with special emphasis on conflict resolution and problem solving.

· RF experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
