Position Description:
The Operations Manager, in coordination with the Program Director, therapists, Youth Care Workers, and community partners, will implement and maintain the structure and daily schedule at the Migrant Wellness Residential Program. In addition, the Operations Manager will manage the fiscal and physical plant of in-service trainings, and food distribution. The Operations Manager will participate in the interviewing and screening process for youth referred to the Migrant Wellness Program

Role and Responsibilities:

The primary duties include but are not limited to the following:

Resident Responsibilities: in coordination with CCO, therapists, Life Coaches, Ras, stakeholders, and team members,

  • To develop creative ways of dealing with residents who have experienced trauma, diagnosed mental health needs and display oppositional defiant behavior.
  • To advocate on the behalf of each resident.
  • To attend and coordinate special activities as needed in support of a resident
  • To prepare and submit monthly reports to the Program Manager
  • To teach residents daily living skills
  • To actively participate in aftercare and discharge planning once a discharge placement has been

secured and confirmed

  • To plan, organize, and manage resident’s community programming.
  • To assist youth with move in and move outs.
  • To ensure that youth’s basic living needs are met (i.e., transportation, groceries, household

supplies, etc.) to include shopping for or with the youth.

Residential Staff Responsible:

  • To meet with Program Manager and the designee and provide supervision and support on a weekly basis (more frequently if needed). This includes training in communication skills, utilizing community resources and developing creative ways of meeting the needs of residents.
  • To collect and manage Shift Reports completed by Youth Care Workers
  • To assist in the training and supervision of temporary or permanent youth care worker staff and volunteers on appropriate resident care guidelines
  • To instruct residential staff on proper emergency mental health and medical treatment procedures.

Fiscal Responsibilities:

  • To maintain financial journal of expenses and to submit journals in a timely manner to the CHRIS
  • accountant as designated by the accountant.
  • To administer and document fines.
  • To maintain property damage reports and submit to maintenance and property management.

Other Responsibilities:

  • To manage the maintenance of agency vehicles.
  • To meet with the Program Manager for supervision on a weekly basis or as determined. To meet with CCO and/or V of Community Residential Programs as requested/required
  • To assist in the creation of and updating of apartment in emergency procedures manuals.
  • To transport residents as needed.
  • To supervise contracted security and property management companies.
  • Performance and Conduct;
  • Maintain confidentiality of consumer information
  • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries
  • Follow the CHRIS 180 Code of Ethics
  • Follow mandated reporting requirements of GA Code
  • Support and maintain an environment of emotional and physical safety for consumers, staff and other stakeholders at all times
  • Demonstrate customer service;
  • Promote positive image of CHRIS 180 programs at all times
  • Work as a contributing and collaborative team member
  • Respond to consumer and peer needs in a timely fashion
  • Answer telephone calls and emails accordingly
  • Respond to requests for information from stakeholders in a timely fashion
  • Maintain Personal Information and Training;
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings as scheduled
  • Attend and participate in required trainings as scheduled
  • Maintain required certifications
  • Review, understand and responsible to program policies
  • Provide documents in a timely fashion to Human Resources
  • Report changes in status to HR as required by policy

Qualifications/Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of social work, public administration, sociology, or related area
  • 2+ years of social service experience, with an emphasis on working with transitional-aged youth and homeless youth with behavioral health needs. Property management or housing experience preferred.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • Must possess PC-related skills; a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites
  • Able to handle severe stress and a variety of tasks and responsibilities

Salary: $25.00/hr.

Schedule
Standard work hours are between 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. 4 days a week and 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. one day per week. Flexibility of schedule can be determined by VP of Residential Services. Weekend hours may include based on clinical needs and staffing patterns
