Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
- Comply with Company Safety Policies and Procedures
- Ensure and evaluate adherence to the Injury and Illness Prevention Program
- Conduct trainings on Company policies and procedures
- Complete incident reports and investigations
- Develop job-specific safety training and ensure delivery
- Train and certify forklift operators
- Monitor the Hazard Communications Program, including accuracy and archiving SDS
- Analyze injury trends and areas of vulnerability and come up with action plan
- Coordinate and monitor Loss Control activities
- Maintain OSHA Log 300
- Conduct plant walk-through inspections and report safety violations
- Coordinate with safety team to assure new and current operations are properly permitted and compliance with permits is carried out
- Maintain safety video library and documents
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed
- Communicate effectively and tactfully with managers and other levels of personnel, in person and on the telephone
- Pay close attention to detail

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Must have 5 years of experience
- Mist be Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Be exposed to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
- Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out
- Prolong standing or in stationary position
- Complete repetitive movements
- Bend and/or twist
- Lift/move/transport items up to 50 pounds
- Ability to move or traverse about the facilities
- Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions
- Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing, vision and hardhat protection)
- Handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls
- Ascend/descend stairs and ladders
