Since 2005, Pat’s Place has served as a multidisciplinary hub, bringing together detectives, child protection workers, medical and mental health providers, and prosecutors to respond collaboratively to child abuse allegations.
Our mission is to protect and heal children, unite key partners, and engage the community to end child abuse.
Position Title:Bilingual Forensic Interviewer (FLSA Full-time, non-exempt)
Reports To: Coordinator of Forensic Services
Salary Range: $44,100 - 49,350 annually
Position Description
Conduct forensic interviews with child abuse victims using research-based and agency-adopted interview protocols and techniques.
Responsibilities
Forensic Interviewing
· Conduct forensic interviews for children and vulnerable adults in accordance with agency-adopted interview protocols.
· Lead pre- and post-interview conferences with involved investigative team.
· Accurately summarize interview findings in a succinct and professionally written report.
· Advance the mission of Pat’s Place through all communications with MDT members, staff, donors, volunteers, and other community members and contribute to maintaining a positive, productive, and constructive working environment.
· Provide testimony as required for civil, criminal, and juvenile court cases.
· Enter and maintain case data in the NCAtrak case tracking system for every service provided in a timely manner and maintain accurate case files.
· Keep informed of current research surrounding child abuse issues and participate in ongoing training.
· Facilitate interagency communication and collaboration.
· Participate in regular supervision, peer review, staff meetings, multidisciplinary (MDT) meetings, in-service training, and other meetings as required.
· Represent Pat’s Place in related activities, including special events and community outreach.
· Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:Required Qualifications
· Bachelor of Social Work or related field
· Bilingual (Spanish/English)
· Two years’ experience in advocacy or criminal justice related to child abuse or domestic violence
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience in child welfare or in a child advocacy center
· Training in a nationally recognized forensic interviewing protocol

Work Hours and Practice Location:
· Pat’s Place Child Advocacy Center recognizes a 37.5-hour work week.
· Forensic Interviewers are expected to work on-site unless negotiated with direct supervisor.
· Travel is not required for daily job duties.
