Title: Logistics Coordinator, Customer Service Representative, and Inside Sales Associate
Job Summary: The Logistics Coordinator & Customer Service Representative plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless coordination of all logistical operations while maintaining high standards of Customer Service. This position involves overseeing the movement of goods, coordinating with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments, as well as addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Responsibilities:
Logistics Coordination:
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Work closely with suppliers, carriers, and warehouse teams to schedule pickups, deliveries, and shipments.
- Monitor transportation costs and negotiate rates with carriers to optimize efficiency and minimize expenses.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and logistics activities.
- Identify and resolve logistical issues or delays to minimize disruptions in supply chain operations.
- Implement and maintain efficient logistics processes to improve overall productivity and Customer satisfaction.
- Have a sense of urgency while booking loose freight, LTL and FTL shipments.
- Back up in sales if needed (taking orders over the phone, helping out in the showroom).
- Have experience and ability to negotiate best available shipping rates.
Customer Service:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, providing timely and accurate information regarding order status, shipping updates, and product availability.
- Address customer concerns and complaints promptly, demonstrating empathy and a commitment to resolving issues to the customer's satisfaction.
- Process orders, returns, and exchanges efficiently and accurately, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with sales and operations teams to anticipate customer needs and provide proactive support and solutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through effective communication and personalized service.
- Continuously strive to enhance the customer experience by identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions.
Travel twice per year to ASD Trade Show in Las Vegas as needed.
Qualification requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bilingual (Fluent in English and Spanish)
- Basic Computer Skills; such as use of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong critical thinking and problem resolution skills required.
- Must be detail oriented
- Must have strong understanding of shipping industry
- Must understand shipping terminology
- 1-2 years experience as a logistics coordinator with expertise in shipping via LTL, FTL, UPS, FED-EX and USPS
