Job Overview: The Customer Service Manager is responsible for recruiting, training, supervising, and supporting a team of Customer Care Representatives. This role involves overseeing daily departmental activities, ensuring operational excellence across all processes, and fostering a cohesive team culture. Our Customer Service Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining a family-like atmosphere and upholding high standards of performance.
Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead the growth and effective management of the Customer Care department, overseeing day-to-day operations with a focus on excellence.
  • Efficiently process incoming orders through various channels such as telephone, email, and our online customer portal.
  • Swiftly provide innovative solutions to customer and internal challenges in real-time, guiding direct reports to do the same.
  • Deliver timely, accurate, and thorough responses to inquiries and complaints, maintaining a commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Promote strong cross-departmental communication and a collaborative environment with the team.
  • Meticulously review subcontractor work orders for billing accuracy.
  • Nurture the professional development of the customer service team through personalized coaching and individual performance evaluations, demonstrating a commitment to their success and growth.
  • Effectively manage interpersonal conflicts as they arise
  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager and Human Resources in team members' recruitment, hiring, and termination processes.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by willingly taking on additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Required: Fluent in both English and Spanish, with proficiency in verbal and written communication.
  • Minimum of 1 year of documented success in supervising and managing a customer service team.
  • Employ an approachable "coaching" management style to effectively lead and develop team members.
  • Exhibit professional, effective verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on follow-up.
  • Proven experience in establishing and fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized
  • Proactive problem solver – takes initiative to identify, research, and resolve problems focused on finding the "win."
  • Proficient in technology, with experience using Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, and Shared Drive.
  • While flooring industry experience is advantageous, it is not mandatory.
